I say this because the vent where the air comes out of the cooler looks like it is located more towards the bottom of the cooler whereas the fan intake on my dell inspiron 1525 is located higher up on the bottom of the laptop.

all laptop coolers will work poorly. it’s just a fan and raises the laptop to increase air circulation. i’d be surprised if you see more than 5C difference.
