i have a cooling pad and it keeps everything cool so i would suggest that cuz the fan just blows the hot air right back at the laptop.

they are pretty much the same but you can get a plastic pad that goes under your laptop and has 2 fans built in that are powered by plugign it in through USB.

The new laptop computers run hot as hell specially MacBook Pros and MacBooks run specially hot – almost hot enough to fry eggs. Indeed, Apple no longer advertises its portable
computers as “laptops”, presumably fearing product liability lawsuits should someone singe their thighs. There has also been recalls on certain manufactures LAPTOPS because of
them actually catching on fire like the Dell scandal with some of the batteries they used on their notebooks.

We have seen and read Manny articles about laptop cooling some people come up with time consuming messy solutions.

Ladies and gentlemen let’s not try to reinvent the wheel here the solution is quiet simple and affordable just get a quiet air cooled laptop cooler and it will do the trick. No more freeze ups,
no more stability issues and no more fires hazards. If you clicked on the article above you will see the man even put ice bags under his laptop this could cause condensation and actually
short out your components. You can not try to cool down below ambient temperature because this is what causes condensation such as with air conditioners.

Manufactures are now marketing the idea of water cooled Notebooks well this is very cost affective but even water cooled computers needs a fan for their radiators and water cooled
systems still work with ambient temperature not to mention very costly and dangerous should there be a leakage, and the performance is not much greater therefore an after market
solution will still be required like a laptop cooler. The smarter more cost effective idea is what Dell and others manufactures have implemented in their new upscale models laptops witch
is Heatpipe cooling technology. When done right this will even out perform even the most sophisticated water cooling rigs and not to mention safer. Then you add a high quality air cooled
laptop cooler into the mix to dissipate the heat of the Heatpipe cooler attach to fins and SHAZAM you got your self one sweet cool running stable laptop computer.
