I’ve been trying to stop my laptop from shutting off unexpectedly when I play PC games but it’s still crashing even though I’ve been using this Belkin Laptop Cooling Stand this whole time–http://reviews.cnet.com/docks-stands/bel…
I’ve air dusted the fans inside of the laptop so I’m not sure how to stop the overheating and crashing.

I’ve sent my laptop back to the manufacturer for repair before because somehow the heat burnt my hard drive but they’ve fixed it a while back. So should I buy a new laptop cooler tray/pad/mat/fan…or is there anything else I can do about this? Thanks for your answers.
yeah, just when I’m gaming.

It’s most likely the graphics card that’s causing the problem. They are prone to overheating during gaming.

Laptops don’t make the best gaming computers unless you opt for the high-end Alienware machines which are grossly overpriced.

It probably doesn’t overheat if you’re just using it for computing, right?

try using xp and try search for a laptop thats realiable with nearly no problems wish i could help but i don’t do gaming but try HP it has the system recovery option

also find a laptop that has a long battery life

i prefer desktops

and you should never charge your laptop while using it you’ll over heat the charger

try to play the game when its 100% full of power and when you first turn it on if your laptops turns off when ur playing ur game then its the computer not the fan/cooler, maybe you should get a gaming computer but i never used those

well take care

Was the laptop new? You may have to buy a whole new fan and then put it on the cooler thing.

If it was a referb, you may have gotten a bomb and have to fork out the bucks for a new one.
